Affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. New Delhi.

Indian School Certificate Examinations: (I.S.C.)
The Affiliation Department of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi has approved of our request for the introduction of the I.S.C. in our school.

We are permitted by the Council to introduce the following subjects at the ISC level.

Compulsory: English.

Elective Subjects:
(Any 4 or 5) Bengali, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Accounts, Commerce, Economics, Art, History, Geography and SUPW and Community Service.

We are thankful to the honourable members of the Pailan Educational Trust, The Vice - Chairperson, the teachers, staff, students and well wishers of the school for having paved the way for this giant step forward in the field of Education. We hope your blessings and good wishes remain with us in the future.
Our first batch of I.S.C. candidates will appear for the Council Examinations in March 2018.

Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations: (ICSE)
The Indian Certificate of Secondary Examinations (ICSE) curriculum includes the promotion of Science, Literature, Fine arts and the diffusion of useful knowledge through the medium of English.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations New Delhi is committed to serving the nation’s children, through quality educational endeavours, empowering students to contribute toward a humane, just and pluralistic society, promoting introspective living, by creating exciting learning opportunities, with a commitment to excellence. The Council is involved in developing new syllabuses, curriculum frameworks and assessment systems to make education relevant, challenging and exciting.

The ICSE curriculum at Pailan World School offers a varied choice of subjects in the Science, Commerce and Humanities streams.

GCSE, AS & A levels. Pailan World School has been awarded this International status by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

University of Cambridge International Examinations: (CIE)
With a teacher student ratio of 1:20 and faculty handpicked by Pearson Schools, Pailan World School follows the University of Cambridge's IGCSE route for Grade X, followed by a journey on A Level (plus 2, by Indian standards). IGCSE and A Level qualifications present the opportunity for your child to head for foreign universities or switch to the Indian mainstream. Apart from the conventional choices, IGCSE packs in loads of excitement in its curriculum even offering subjects such as design and technology and the performing arts. Faculty orientation towards IGCSE parameters and stipulations is an ongoing process at Pailan World School.

International General Certificate of Secondary Education: (IGCSE)
Students in the age bracket of 14-16 years who obtain IGCSE qualification from Cambridge are prepared for further academic pursuit including progression to A Level. The curriculum offers a balanced mix of theory and practical. Students whose first language is not English may also aspire to this course.

International A Level & Advanced Subsidiary Level: (AS)
International A Level is globally recognized as a prerequisite for pursuing higher education. This course demands in depth knowledge and skill from the students. International AS Level is an optional one, mostly pursued at the mid-point of the A Level programme. Both these are widely popular amongst the aspirants for their immense academic value across the globe. A Level is a superior alternative to HSC or junior college and is an 18 months programme after IGCSE.
